47. Loopback Interface Commands
Example
To create one loopback interface named loopback1 with subnet address 20.1.1.1/8
and enable the admin state:
Zxxx0:admin# create loopback ipif loopback1 20.1.1.1/8 state enable
Command: create loopback ipif loopback1 20.1.1.1/8 state enable
Success.
Zxxx0:admin#
47.2. config loopback ipif
Description
This command is used to configure the loopback interface parameters.
Format
config loopback ipif <ipif_name 12> [{ipaddress <network_address> | state [enable |
disable]}(1)]
Parameters
<ipif_name 12>
Enter the IP interface name used for this configuration here. This name can be up to 12
characters long.
ipaddress
(Optional) Specifies the IPv4 network address of the loopback interface.
<network_address>
Enter the IPv4 network address of the loopback interface here. It specifies a host address
and length of network mask.
state
(Optional) Specifies the state of the loopback interface.
enable
Specifies that the loopback interface state will be enabled.
disable
Specifies that the loopback interface state will be disabled.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
