SUBJECT: REPLACEMENT OF REGISTRATION FRAME
SYMPTOM:
The right side cover can not be closed properly and an SC401/SC402 is displayed.
CAUSE:
The registration frame is broken.
SOLUTION:
Replace the registration frame with the new style frame (A2501167) also the other parts that are listed on the
following page must also be replaced with the new frame.
NOTE: If the Right Door Modification is necessary refer to Technical Service Bulletin A250/B001 - 030;
Dated 10/05/2000 for additional information.
1. Remove the Photoconductor Unit.
2. Remove the Fusing Unit (Refer to SM pg 6-17).
3. Remove the By-Pass Tray (Refer to SM pg 6-30), Check TSB- 030 if applies.
4. Remove the Cover's (Refer to SM pg 6-1,2,3).
5. Remove the Main Motor / Gear Box / Fly Wheel (Refer to SM pg 6-35 ).
6. Remove the I/O board (Refer to SM pg 6-36) along with the metal board support.
7. Remove the Fan (2 screws).
8. Remove the Ground Plate (1 screw).
9. Disconnect the Photoconductor Set Sensor.
10. Disconnect the 3 connectors off the High Voltage bd marked T, C and B.
11. Remove the 1 ground screw.
   
