6. Connect the key counter cable [G] to connector CN326 on the I/O board [H].
7. Route the key counter cable as shown in the illustration below.
CAUTION: The cable must be properly routed to prevent the cable form contacting
the rotating flywheel.
8. Secure the key counter cable under the cable fasteners [I].

9. Feed the key counter cable through the oblong opening [F].
10. Re-install the rear cover.
11. Connect the key counter cable to the key counter.
12. Attach the double-sided tape to the key counter bracket.
13. Adhere the key counter assembly to the left side of the scanner unit as shown
below.
NOTE: When attaching the key counter assembly, press the assembly firmly
against the scanner cover.
14. Enter the Service Program Mode and set 5-113 to 1. Refer to page 4-26.
