SUBJECT: FUSING JAM KIT
GENERAL:
To aid in servicing A250/B001 Fusing Jams, a Fusing Jam Kit has been created (P/N A2509800). The
following table highlights which Fuser Jams are corrected by this kit:
Jam Cause:
1. 04503014B – Tapping Screw – M3x14 QTY: 2
Fusing Unit screws easily come loose, resulting
in uneven pressure between the Hot and
Pressure Rollers, which causes the paper to
skew.
2. A2504143 – Pick Off Pawl Spring QTY: 5
Insufficient spring pressure allows a gap to
develop between the Pick-Off Pawls and Hot
Roller. Toner then accumulates on the Pick-Off
Pawl, which increases the gap and misguides
the paper.
3. A2502831 – Paper Feed Mylar QTY: 2
The leading edge of the paper is slightly curled,
or curls when it is fed from the paper tray. The
curling leads to dog-ears at the leading edge
and/or paper skew.
4. A2504132 – Fusing Idler Gear QTY: 1
The customer tries to pull out jammed paper
without first releasing the Fusing Pressure
Lever.
