SUBJECT: FUSER PAPER JAMS
SYMPTOM:
Paper passes underneath the Stripper Pawls and gets caught around the Hot Roller, causing a paper jam.
CAUSE:
Insufficient tension of the Pickoff Pawl Spring (P/N G0294143) allows the paper to get caught around the Hot
Roller.
SOLUTION:
The spring tension was increased, and the Pickoff Pawl Spring was changed from P/N G0294143 to P/N
A2504143.
If this occurs, please replace the old style spring with new style Pickoff Pawl Spring (P/N A2504143).
However, if the tip of the Stripper Pawl (P/N A2504175) appears to be deformed, please replace the Pawl
itself along with the Spring.
