SUBJECT: AIO CHARGE ROLLER CLEANING PROCEDURE
SYMPTOM:
A dirty background appears at the center of the prints/copies.
CAUSE:
The surface of the Charge Roller becomes dirty, causing an insufficient charge to be applied to the OPC
surface. This results in a dirty background on the copy and a dirty OPC surface.
SOLUTION:
Make sure all Specifications of the Copier (Service Manual page 1 –1) and machine Environment (Service
Manual page 3 – 1) are followed. If the problem remains, follow the cleaning procedure.
Note: It is very important to avoid scratching the OPC or spilling any Toner at the customer site.
HOW TO CLEAN THE CHARGE ROLLER
Note: To prevent Toner from spilling, keep the AIO Cartridge level.
   

1. Unhook the bottom hooks of both
springs [A] on the AIO cartridge.
2. Remove the rubber O-ring [B]
from the shaft
