SUBJECT: ACCORDION JAM NEAR THE PAPER EXIT
SYMPTOM:
An accordion jam occurs near the Paper Exit Area, especially when the type of paper used curls easily or
has already been printed on one side (re-used).
CAUSE:
The paper is normally exited by guiding the leading edge in between the two sets of Exit Rollers. However,
when the paper is curled, it impacts with the Pressure Roller Case and causes a jam.
SOLUTION:
To ensure that the leading edge of the paper is properly fed in between the Exit Rollers, a rib has been
added to the Pressure Roller Case [A] that will act as a guide. The P/N was changed from A2504105 to
A2504106. Please refer to TSB - 033 for the cut-in serial numbers.
