Syntax Diagram Conventions

Command syntax is represented pictorially.

Solid lines represent the recommended path.
Dotted lines indicate a optional path for bypassing secondary
keywords or using alternate units.
A semicolon, line feed (LF), carriage return (CR), space (SP), or
comma can be used to terminate the command line. A semicolon is
the recommended terminator.
