Be careful not to damage the oil pan flanges of the oil pan
and cylinder block.

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, oil strainer and gasket.

HINT:
If necessary, remove the pulley with SST and crankshaft pulley
bolt.

− TIMING CHAIN
REMOVE OIL PAN
Remove the 16 mounting bolts and 2 nuts.
Insert the blade of SST between the cylinder block and oil
pan, cut off applied sealer and remove the oil pan.

REMOVE OIL STRAINER
REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
w/ A/C:
Remove the 4 bolts, No.2 and No.3 crankshaft pulleies.
Using SST, remove the pulley bolt.

Remove the crankshaft pulley.
SST 09950−50010 (09951−05010, 09952−05010,
09953−05010, 09954−05020)
REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER
Remove the 2 water by pass pipe mounting nuts.
Remove the 2 timing chain cover mounting bolts.
