Fuser Unit
WARNING
Take care in handling the fuser unit, as the unit reaches high
temperatures immediately after operation. Be sure to wait to handle it
until it is completely cooled down.
Also, never scratch or touch the cover glass with your hands.
Fingerprints on lamps will cause them to break.

Vorsicht im Umgang mit der Fixiereinheit, da dieser Teil sofort nach
Inbetriebnahme hohe Temperaturen erreicht. Vor dem Berühren erst
vollständig abkühlen lassen.
Verkratzen oder berühren Sie niemals die Glasabdeckung mit der Hand.
Fingerabdrücke auf Lampen führen zu Glasbruch.
1. Check that the transfer charger is in the down position, then lower the
transport unit by turning the green lever on the transport unit to the left
(see steps 9 and 10 on page 418).
2. Loosen the captive thumbscrews (2) on the right and left fuser unit
holding plates.
3. Grasp the fuser handle and pull out the fuser unit until its second handle
is visible.
