Important!
There are two modes of operation supported:
PIN Only, where only the PIN is required for
access, and ID+PIN, where the user must
enter both the code ID and the PIN for access.
When the length of the Master code is set to 4
through 6 digits, the System operates in PIN
Only mode. When the length of the Master
code is set to 7 through 9 digits, the System
operates in ID+PIN mode.
Not only does the ID+PIN mode afford a much higher level of security, but
it also enables the Autocode feature which can greatly simplify management
of large numbers of codes. For these reasons, a minimum code length of 7
digits is recommended.
If the length entered is different from the existing Master code, the
following message and prompt will print:
WARNING-NEW CODE
LENGTH!
ALL CODES WILL BE ERASED
CONTINUE? 1-YES 2-NO
Press 1-YES to continue, otherwise press 2-NO to abort without changing
the code length or Master code.
If you selected 1-YES to the above prompt, or you are not changing the
code length in affect, a prompt similar the following will print:
NEW 4 DIGIT MASTER PIN?
The length of the PIN requested will vary from 4 through 6 digits as
determined by the code length that you specified above. Note that the PIN
length may not be the same as the code length in that it does not include the
3 digit ID number when using code lengths of 7 through 9 digits.
Enter the new PIN that you wish to assign to the Master code. Once you
have entered the new PIN, the following prompt will print:
REENTER CODE TO CONFIRM
