Chapter 5
This section provides an overview of the programming process. We
recommend that you read this section thoroughly at least once. Then read
Chapters 6 and 7 and practice programming with the System. After you
know what results to expect, you can program the System for use.
There are two programming modes, the Command Mode and the Menu
Mode. The Command Mode provides limited programming capability and
does not require use of the WP4000 Printer. The Menu Mode provides
complete programming capability and requires the Printer. Chapter 11 is a
Menu Tree that shows the menus that appear when programming in the
Menu mode (see page 129) . There is a Quick Reference Programming
Guide located on the inside back cover for an overview of programming
commands used when programming in the Command mode.
In general, the Master or a Submaster code is required to program the
System. The Manager and Supervisor codes have limited programming
privileges. Some of the programming commands operate only with the
Master code. Refer to the following Table for an overview of programming
privileges for each code level.
