CAUTION
Use electrostatic discharge protection procedures
when the printed circuit board is exposed.
Cylindrical and Mortise
Step 1 Unscrew the Security Screws approximately 1/4 inch and remove the
Electronic Housing (Figure 10).
Important!
Get your fresh replacement batteries positioned and ready to
install before you begin the next step.
Avoid touching the Battery Contacts or the Contacts in the
Battery Holders because the oils and acids from your
fingers can cause long term electrical contact problems.
Batteries are to be removed and replaced one at a time.
If all Batteries are removed at the same time, the System
may reset and require reprogramming (See Resetting The
System page 118).
Step 2 Remove and replace each of the old batteries, one at a time, with the
plus (+) end to the right.
Step 3 Replace the Electronics Housing and tighten the Security Screws.
