This chapter describes how to modify partitions, how to create additional
partitions, and how to delete a partition. The library must always have at
least one partition configured and supports a maximum of four partitions.

ONFIGURATION
Partitions divide the library logically, so that the partitioned library looks
to the enterprise environment like one or more physical libraries—one
library per configured partition. The library is partitioned using Shared
Library Services
consolidation through the creation of virtual libraries, each with its own
tape drives and media. You can add SLS support by purchasing an
activation key from Spectra Logic.
