Chapter 5 — Cartridge Use
Follow these steps to remove cartridges via the queued eject option.
1. Using your backup software to export cartridges from the library,

The cartridges selected to move by the backup software are
indicated by an asterisk in the inventory screen (see
The Process Queued Ejects operation adds the Queued tapes to the move
queue, begins moving the cartridges to the access port, and opens the door.
Note:
This process also allows you to swap tapes. As each of the
queued tapes is moved to the access port, you can remove the
existing tape and put in a new tape before closing the door. The
library will move the new tape to the slot previously occupied
by the queued tape. The library will then move the next queued
tape to the access port. This process will continue until all
Queued tapes have been ejected from the library.
