ONFIGURE
Before enabling (or disabling) Media Lifecycle Management, make sure that none of

the tape drives in the library contain any media. Use your application software unload
media from the drives and return it to the slots in the storage pool.
Follow these steps to configure BlueScale Media Lifecycle Management.
1. Log into the library with superuser or administrator privileges.
2. From the toolbar menu, select Configuration > MLM. The Media

MLM compatible media has been available from Spectra Logic
since November 2007. If you began using MLM-capable media
and cleaning cartridges before BlueScale MLM became available,
some of your media may have already exceeded the thresholds
you set.
