This chapter describes procedures for day-to-day operation of your Spectra
T50e library.

OWER THE
Before powering on the library, make sure that the library's power cord is
plugged into an AC outlet. The power to the individual library
components is supplied by the power supply modules, which are
controlled by the library's front panel power button.
Powering On the Library
To power on the library, press and hold the front panel power button for
two to three seconds or until the button's LED illuminates. Wait while the
library completes its power-on sequence, which takes six to seven minutes,
depending on the library configuration. During the power-on sequence,
the library initializes all of its installed components.
