display the selected report with a list of the bar code labels for all media
in the selected location. A media health icon (see
page
151) indicates the overall health of each piece of media, as of the
last time it was loaded into a tape drive.
The following table describes the meaning of each media health icon.
Select the bar code next to the icon to view detailed information about
that specific piece of media.
Description
The media is in good condition and operating properly. In the case of a cleaning
cartridge, more than ten cleans remain on the cartridge.
The media requires attention.
At the 50% healthy mark, when the icon goes from green to yellow, stop
writing new data to the tape and use it only for retrieval.
For a cleaning cartridge, from one to ten cleans remain.
The media has experienced an error condition.
When the icon goes from yellow to red, indicating the tape as passed the 10%
healthy mark, transfer any data that is still needed to a new tape and take the
old tape out of circulation.
For a cleaning cartridge, no more cleans remain. Replace the cleaning cartridge.
The status of the media cannot be determined.
