NPACK THE
The library and its components are shipped in cardboard boxes. The only
tool you need unpack the library is a pair of scissors or a box cutter.
Prepare the Unpacking Location
Set the pallet with the boxes in a location that gives you adequate of
clearance around and above the library box so that you can safely unpack
the library. After removing the library from its packaging, move it to a
work space where you have access to all four sides.
The library and packaging weighs approximately 58 lb. (26,4 kg). Use extreme

caution when moving it. Enlist at least two people to help move the library.

Description
Fibre Channel (FC) Cables (FC tape drives only)—For each
Fibre Channel tape drive you will need at least one optical
cable. A second optical may be connected to the Fibre
Channel tape drive to configure fail-over, if necessary.
Use either 50-micron or 62.5-micron multi-mode optical
fiber cables with dual single-channel (LC) connectors.
50-micron multi-mode optical fiber cables must comply
with the 400-M5-SN-I classification as specified in the
Fibre Channel standard
(FC-PI-2).
62.5-micron multi-mode optical fiber cables must meet
the 400-M6-SN-I classification.
Note: The length of 62.5 micron multi-mode cables should
not exceed 70 meters.
SFPs
(FC tape drives only)—Each Fibre Channel tape drive
has two Fibre Channel ports with a multi-mode SFP
installed in each port. A fiber optic LC cable plugs into the
SFPs.
IBRARY
Make sure that you have a work space area prepared before you
remove the library from its shipping box.
