Overview

Introduction
You can create a full backup so that you can restore Symposium Call Center
Server to its state at the time of the backup. This type of backup is useful for
recovery from situations such as a catastrophic failure in the disk subsystem.
To perform a full backup in Symposium Call Center Server Release 5.0
(standalone or coresident), you must use a third-party backup utility, such as the
Windows backup utility. This section provides guidelines for selecting the third-
party backup software you will use, and describes the procedures you must
complete before performing the third-party backup.
Nortel recommends that you perform a full backup
after the initial Symposium Call Center Server installation and
configuration
before and after a major upgrade to a new release
before and after any major hardware configuration changes
