Configuring a Virtual Port with One Channel

7 To apply the values for the fields, select the Apply Port Configuration
command and press Enter.
8 To configure channels, do one of the following:
a. To configure a virtual port as one channel, you must have selected
the value Disabled in the Channelization field (see Step 6 on
page 3-9). Continue with instructions in "Configuring a Virtual Port
with One Channel" below.
b. To configure a virtual port with up to 24 channels, you must have
selected the value Enabled in the Channelization field. Continue
with instructions in "Configuring a Virtual Port with Up to 24
Channels" on page 3-16.

To configure a virtual port on the Channelized STS-1e module with only one
DS0 channel, continue from Step 8 above and use the following procedure:
Configuring One DS0 Channel
Begin
1 Select Chnl 1 Unconfigured on the Channelized STS1 Virtual Port
Configuration window (see Figure 3-4 on page 3-8) and press Enter.
Note:
You must have selected the value Disabled in the Channelization
field on the Channelized STS1 Virtual Port Configuration window.
