Chapter 7 Provisioning Connections Using the Console Interface
Adding a Circuit Emulation-to-Circuit Emulation PVC Connection
Values
Default: If you want data traffic for this connection to be
Disabled processed through the DSP2x Voice Server mod-
ules, use Bypass.
Bypass
The value Bypass indicates that the fax tones are
to be recognized and data sent by fax is not to be
processed by compression and echo cancellation.
None (default), If you want data traffic for this connection to be
MuLaw2muLa processed through the DSP2x Voice Server mod-
w, ALaw2aLaw, ules, do not use the default value. The other val-
MuLaw2aLaw, ues indicate the desired type of pulse code
ALaw2MuLaw modulation (PCM) translation. You must specify
one of these PCM types to enable data traffic pro-
cessing through the DSP2x Voice Server modules.
Note: If using the Enhanced DS1/E1 modules,
A-law to A-law must be used. The default for
"none" is Mu-law to Mu-law. If uses, noise will
result on the E1 circuits.
3 After entering the values you want for the DSP2 parameters, select the
Add This Connection command (or press Ctrl+A).
4 To review this connection, select the Go Back to Connection Table
command and press Enter (or press Ctrl+B).
The Circuit Emulation-to-ATM VCC SPVC Table window is returned,
displaying the values you just applied.
5 To add more connections of this type, repeat steps 2 through 5 for more
connections as needed.
6 To permanently save these connections, press Ctrl+G to return to the
Console Interface Main Menu window, select Save Configuration, and
press Enter to store the values to the PSAX system database.

From the Circuit Emulation-to-ATM VCC SPVC Connection window, select
the View Connection Statistics command and press Enter.
The Circuit Emulation-to-ATM VCC SPVC Statistics window is displayed
(see Figure 7-47).
