PSAX 1000 3-Port Line Interface Module Description and Specifications

This document identifies and describes the PSAX 1000 3-Port Line Interface
Module (LIM3–1) module and related safety information. It also includes proce-
dures for installation and removal of the module from the PSAX chassis and veri-
fication of the initial module startup, as well as information on obtaining trouble-
shooting assistance. Regulatory standards compliance is also described for the
module.
The PSAX 1000 LIM3–1 module is illustrated in Figure 1.
The PSAX 1000 LIM3–1 module has been tested and verified by Lucent Technol-
ogies to operate with the following PSAX system software versions:

3 Hand tighten the two captive screws on the module, then tighen with a flat- head screwdriver. 4 Connect the appropriate cables to the module. Verifying the Initial Startup Verify that the status indicators ( ) on the module are not illuminated during normal traffic flow. - Page 5 Regulatory Standards Compliance, Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) The PSAX 1000 PSAX 1000 3-Port Line Interface module (model 10N01) is com- pliant with applicable safety and EMC standards when configured with the ® PSAX 1000 chassis (model 10S00).
