This is a CBR type of connection. A DSP2x Voice Server module must be
present and configured in the Multiservice Media Gateway to enable coding
translation, voice compression, silence detection, echo cancellation, and tone
detection features. This type of connection also supports the use of a backup
ATM interface with the option of automatic switchback.
You can process voice traffic using circuit emulation-to-ATM VCC PVC
connection through a DSP2x Voice Server module by selecting one of the
pulse code modulation (PCM) types in the Coding Translation field.
Note:
The Operations Administration and Maintenance (OAM) feature
is enabled on this screen. Statistical OAM information is provided
on the related statistics screen, while additional OAM
functionality can be enabled from the Diagnostics Menu.
Perform the steps in the following procedure to create a circuit emulation-to-
ATM VCC PVC connection.
Provisioning a Circuit Emulation-to-ATM PVC Connection
Begin
1 On the Connection Configuration Menu window, select Circuit
Emulation-to-ATM VCC and press Enter.
The Circuit Emulation-to-ATM VCC PVC Table (see Figure 7-11)
window is displayed.
