~ Click the left mouse button on the channel for which you want to
configure the interface, then right-click the channel and a menu is
displayed. Select Configure in the menu.
The corresponding Interface Configuration window opens. See
Chapter 6 for instructions on configuring the interface.
7 Repeat steps Step 2 through Step 5 to configure more channels.
8 In the Channel Configuration window, click Close.

You can view port statistics on the Port Statistics panel on the STS1 Port
Configuration window (see Figure 4-6 on page 4-7). The fields are described
in Table 4-5.

Section Statistics:
Status
A bit map status of the interface represented as a sum
(display only)
displaying multiple defects simultaneously. The various
bit positions are:
• Sonet section no defect = 0001
• Loss of signal = 0010
• Loss of frame = 1000
Err. Sec.
The number of errored seconds with at least one of the
(display only)
following:
• Path code violations
• Controlled slip events
• Detected alarm indication signal (AIS) defects
• Bipolar violations
Severely Err. Sec.
The number of severely errored seconds with at least
(display only)
one of the following:
• 320 or more path code violation error events
• Out-of-frame (OOF) defects
• Detected AIS defect
• A count of one-second intervals with framing error
events, an OOF defect, or a minimum of 1,544 LCVs.
