CHAPTER 16 FLASH MEMORY ( µ µ µ µ PD70F3017 AND 70F3017Y ONLY)
The following shows the command for flash memory control of the V850/SA1. All of these commands are issued
from the dedicated flash writer, and the V850/SA1 performs the various processings corresponding to the commands.
Category
Verify
Erase
Blank check
Data write
System setting and control
The V850/SA1 Sends back response commands to the commands issued from the dedicated flash writer. The
following shows the response commands the V850/SA1 sends out.
Response Command Name
ACK (acknowledge)
NAK (not acknowledge)

16.6.5 Resources used

The resources used in the flash memory programming mode are all the FFE000H to FFE7FFH area of the internal
RAM and all the registers. The FFE800H to FFEFFFH area of the internal RAM retains data as long as the power is
on. The registers which are initialized by reset are changed to the default value.
Command Name
One-short verify command
One-shot erase command
Write back command
One-shot blank check command
High-speed write command
Continuous write command
Status read out command

Acknowledges command/data, etc.
Acknowledges illegal command/data, etc.
Function
Compares the contents of the entire memory and
the input data.
Erases the contents of the entire memory.
Writes back the contents which is overerased.
Checks the erase state of the entire memory.
Writes data by the specification of the write
address and the number of bytes to be written,
and executes verify check.
Writes data from the address following the high-
speed write command executed immediately
before, and executes verify check.
Acquires the status of operations.
Sets the oscillating frequency.
Sets the erasing time of one-shot erase.
Sets the writing time of data write.
Sets the write back time.
Sets the baud rate when using UART.
Reads outs the silicon signature information.
Escapes from each state.
