Output
The Complementary Differential Expansion measurement, in mils (mm), or
other EU, is output to the associated tag as shown in
Figure
75. The individual
channel DC volt values are provided in their respective tags.

Figure 75
illustrates the tag that is created for a channel 2/3 measurement. If a
channel 0/1 measurement is defined, the tag is
"Ch0_1DifferentialExpansion".
Figure 75
also shows the Bias/Gap tags for the
channels, which have been added on the Inputs page, for the Differential
Expansion channel pair.
Ramp Differential Expansion Measurements
Ramp/Differential Expansion is used when one or both of the sensors are
installed such that they monitor the movement of an angled surface, or "ramp".
This method can be applied using either of three orientations, as illustrated in
Figure
76.
