4...20 mA
Expansion Module
The Analog Output module provides four channels of 4...20 mA output. For
each output, specific High (HI) and Low (LO) signal connections are
provided (despite the High/Low description these connections are polarity
insensitive). Eight electrically connected shield connections are provided.
The 4...20 mA expansion module requires loop power, a supply in the range of
18V to 32V DC at 26 mA, to be provided to each output.
Supplying Loop Power
When loop power is not provided by other devices, a 24V supply must be
provided.
The output connections are isolated from one another and the remainder of
the module circuitry. While individual supplies can be applied per channel
output, it is possible to deploy a common supply for multiple channels if
maintaining inter-channel isolation is not important.

4...20 mA load.
As shown in the preceding graphic:
• Connect the positive (+) power to the module output high connections
(pins 1, 5, 14, and 18).
• Connect the negative (-) power to the module output low connections
(pins 2, 6, 13, and 17).
• Do not make any connections to terminals 3, 4, 9, 10, 15, 16, 19, or 24.
