Comment
High-voltage threshold for the TX OK monitoring window. A sensor bias
voltage greater than this value forces a transducer fault condition.
To help detect transducer failure, the signal input circuitry imposes, in the
absence of a functioning transducer, a bias voltage at the input. The bias
that is applied is automatically selected based on the power supply that is
configured for that channel:
Power
Typical Bias Voltage at Input
OFF
1.7 VDC
+24V DC, 4 mA
-3.9 VDC
+24V DC, 25 mA
-3.9 VDC
-24V DC, 25 mA
13 VDC
Within a channel pair (0 and 1, 2 and 3), there are slight differences in the
bias voltages (noticeable on the positive bias, where it is approximately
1.3V). This is by design and has no effect on functionality.

Select the location of the transducer that pertains to the alignment of the
sensor with the monitored shaft.
Use Radial if the most sensitive direction of measurement is perpendicular
to the shaft.
Use Axial of the most sensitive direction of measurement is parallel to the
shaft.
The module does not use Transducer Location but retains it for reference
by higher-level systems.
Degrees are referenced (0) to the vertical top dead center (TDC) of the
shaft and increment in the clockwise direction when viewed from the
driver end of the machine train.
• The direction of shaft rotation does not affect orientation.
• Transducer orientation is used in the Absolute Shaft Vibration
calculations and for reference by higher-level systems.
