3.2.12.5 H/R HEATER (PL9.2.37) Removal

1. Remove the EXIT TRAY ASSY. (See Section 3.2.13.1.)
2. Pull out the FUSER ASSY.
3. Remove the MAIN FUSER ASSY. (See Section 3.2.12.2.)
4. Remove the UPPER GUIDE ASSY. (See Section 3.2.12.3.)
5. Remove the FUSER UPPER ASSY. (See Section 3.2.12.4.)
6. Remove the screw (black, w/collar, 8mm) securing the FUSER NIP
HANDLE, and remove the FUSER NIP HANDLE.
7. Pass the front terminal of the H/R HEATER through the hole in the FUSER
FRONT COVER, and remove the FUSER FRONT COVER.
NOTE: The connector (P/JF250) for the H/R HEATER and P/R HEATER is
tightly connected. Be careful not to damage these heaters when
disconnecting the connector while performing the following.
8. Free the wire and harness by unhooking from the FUSER REAR COVER.
Disconnect the connector (P/JF250) for the H/R HEATER and P/R
HEATER.
NOTE: The gear is no longer secured when the FUSER REAR COVER is
removed. Be careful not to allow the gear to fall out while performing
the following.
9. Pass the rear terminal of the H/R and P/R HEATER through the hole in the
FUSER REAR COVER, and remove the FUSER REAR COVER.
NOTE: Be careful not to touch the surface of the H/R HEATER while
removing the H/R HEATER in the following.
10. Remove the H/R HEATER by pulling straight out from the rear.
