5.1.4.2 Error Message

Error messages are indicated according to the priority. Therefore, if multiple
errors have been detected, the message with the highest priority appears in
the LCD.
See the following pages for the error messages and their explanations and
solutions.
Check OHP Sheet
LED:
On Line = off
Continue = off
Explanation:
OHP sheet was fed backside, or not-EPSON-approved OHP
sheet was fed into the printer, which caused a paper jam in
the MSI entry slot.
Jam xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
LED:
On Line = off
Continue = off
Explanation:
A paper jam occurred at the location indicated. If more than
one location is indicated, it is possible that jammed paper is
near those places. Therefore, the number of jammed sheets
and the indicated locations may not necessarily match.
Paper is jammed at :
G: Unit G.
F: Near Cover F.
C: Near Unit C.
D: Near Cover D.
E: Near Cover E.
B: Near Unit B.
A: Near Cover A.
NOTE: The priority order in case that only one status item can be
returned, as in EJL, is 4081-, 4082-, 4009, 4008, or 4012-.

<Feed>
Solution:
Remove the jammed paper near the paper source and open
the paper feeding unit (and the feeder cover if 2/3-Cassette
Large Capacity Paper Cassette Unit is installed) to check that
there is no paper, then close the unit. You must open the
paper feeding unit (or the feeder if 2/3-Cassette Large Capacity
Paper Cassette Unit is installed) to clear the error. After
warming up, the printer resumes printing the page that was
effected by the error.
<Fuser>
Open the Fuser Unit, remove the jammed paper, and
close the unit. The error will be automatically cleared.
After warming up, the printer resumes printing the page that
was effected by the error.
<Exit>
Open the exit cover, remove the jammed paper, and
close the unit. The error will be automatically cleared.
After warming up, the printer resumes printing the page that
was effected by the error.
