3.2.7.5 FEED ROLL ASSY (PL3.1.29) Removal

1. Remove the REAR COVER ASSY.
2. Remove the UNIVERSAL CASSETTE. (See Section 3.2.6.1.)
3. Remove the FRONT MID COVER. (See Section 3.2.5.2.)
4. Remove the HVPS. (See Section 3.2.16.2.)
5. Remove the P/H DRIVE ASSY along with the DRIVE MOTOR PWB and P/
H MOTOR ASSY.
6. Remove the FEED SPRING from the FEED GEAR and the frame.
7. Remove the E-ring fixing the FEED GEAR and remove the FEED GEAR.
8. Remove 1 screw (silver, 8 mm) securing the FEED SHAFT GUIDE and
remove the FEED SHAFT GUIDE.
9. Remove 1 screw (silver, cup head, 6 mm) securing the TRAY SENSOR
BRACKET and remove the TRAY SENSOR BRACKET.
10. Bring the TURN ROLL to the bottom side, shift the TURN ROLL ASSY to
the front to release its rear end from the frame, and remove the TURN
ROLL ASSY by shifting it to the bottom rear.
11. Follow the steps below to remove the FEED ROLL ASSY.
11-1.Shift the FEED ROLL ASSY to the front to release its rear end from
the frame.
11-2.Move the rear part of the FEED ROLL ASSY to the bottom and then
to the rear.
11-3.Remove the FEED ROLL ASSY along with the FEED BEARING at
the rear making sure it does not interfere with the CASSETTE N/P
SENSOR ASSY.
12. Remove the FEED BEARING and E-ring from the FEED ROLL ASSY.
C H E C K After installing the solenoid, check that the notch of the
P O I N T
FEED GEAR rests on the arm of the solenoid. (The FEED
ROLL comes to the top.)
