5. When the program has been properly updated, the printer enters the
Ready status. If an error occurs, one of the following messages appears.
DIMM COPY B>A ERROR
FORMAT ERROR DIMM A
6. Turn the printer power off and remove the ROM module from the both
sockets A and B.
7. Replace the updated ROM module with the ROM module in the socket P.

3.2.3.3 Formatting the FLASH ROM Module

Flash ROM module can be formatted as instructed below.
1. Install the ROM module to be formatted to the socket A of the
CONTROLLER PWB.
NOTE: Leave the ROM module in the socket P of the CONTROLLER PWB
as it is.
2. Turn the printer on while pressing down the "Alt", "Item", "Value", and
"Enter" buttons, and keep the buttons down until instructed to release
them. The LCD and all the LED lamps on the control panel come on and
the message bellow appears.
Numeric is shown in place of **.* and starts increasing, then the engine
initialization begins.
When the printer is in the ROM formatting mode, the following messages
are indicated consequently.
Release the buttons at this point. The message below appears.
3. After while, the message below appears and the ROM has been formatted.
4. When an error has occurred, the message bellow appears.
