6.3.2 PHOTOCONDUCTOR UNIT Replacement

The PHOTOCONDUCTOR of the DRUM CARTRIDGE is exposed by
the ROS ASSEMBLY and developed by the DEVELOPER ASSEMBLY,
and transmits images onto the IBT.
The consumable DRUM CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY contains the
WASTE TONER BOX.
When replacing the DRUM CARTRIDGE, be sure to
C A U T I O N
turn the printer power off.
DO NOT touch the surface of the photoconductor (a
blue cylindrical part) with your hands. Also handle it
with a care since scratches and oil from your skin can
damage its surface and may affect print quality.
Avoid exposing the DRUM CARTRIDGE to the direct
sunlight and strong light. Even in a room light, do not
leave it for more than 5 minutes.
In order to avoid scratching the photoconductor
surface, work with it on a flat table.
DO NOT reuse the toner in the WASTE TONER BOX.
Be sure to put the used DRUM CARTRIDGE in a
plastic bag and disposed of it as inflammable, strictly
following the local regulation.
