Cover E Open
LED: On Line = off Continue = off
Explanation: The Cover E (Feeder Cover) is open.
Solution: Close the Cover E. The error will be automatically cleared.
Cover F Open
LED: On Line = off Continue = off
Explanation: The Cover E (Left Cover) is open.
Solution: Close the Cover F. The error will be automatically cleared.
Turn Paper sss
LED: On Line = off Continue = off
Explanation: Paper is set with the short edge first.
Solution: Set the paper with the long edge first. The error will be
automatically cleared.
Manual Feed sss ttt
LED: On Line = off Continue = off
Explanation: "Manual Feed" is not on the panel, but when "Manual Feed"
is enabled by the ESC/Page (or ESC/Page-Color) command,
the printer indicates the selected paper feed mechanism and
paper size before starting printing operation.
Solution: Press the Continue button or On Line button to restart
printing. When there is no paper on the selected paper feed
tray (cassette), the printer indicates this error. When the
paper size or paper tray is different from that is selected, the
"Check Paper Size" error and "Check Paper Type" error will
not be indicated.
Troubleshooting
Paper Out sss ttt
LED: On Line = off Continue = off
Explanation: 1. There is no paper loaded in the selected paper source sss.
2. Paper is set in none of the paper sources. (In this case, the
paper source previously used is indicates. If this condition
is detected at the power on, however, "LC1" is indicated).
"ttt" shows the paper size selected for the paper source sss.
Solution: 1. Load the correct size of paper ttt in the paper source sss to
clear the error.
2. Load the correct size of paper in any of the paper sources to
clear the error.
Paper Set sss ttt
LED: On Line = off Continue = blinking
Explanation: When "Size Ignore" in the "Config" menu = Off and
"Auto Cont" in the "Config" menu = Off, the paper loaded in
the selected paper source sss does not match the specified
paper size ttt.
Solution: When "Size Ignore" in the "Config" menu = Off and
"Auto Cont" in the "Config" menu = Off, perform any of the
following:
1. Set the paper of size ttt in the paper source sss and press
the Continue button. The error is cleared and the printer
feeds paper from the paper source ssss to resume printing.
2. Press the Continue button without changing the paper.
The error is cleared and the printer resume printing on
paper from the paper source sss.
3. Reset the printer or perform a warm boot.
