HAZARD SWITCH CIRCUIT (CONTINUED)
When Monitored and Set Condition
• When Monitored: With the ignition on.
• Set Condition: The Body Control Module (BCM) reports a short to power, ground, or an open on the Hazard
Switch circuit.
HAZARD SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
HAZARD SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
HAZARD SWITCH CIRCUIT OPEN
BODY CONTROL MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE

MATICS AND DIAGRAMS).
Diagnostic Test
1.
MEASURE THE RESISTANCE OF THE HAZARD SWITCH CIRCUIT
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM harness connector.
Disconnect the Console Switch Group harness connector.
Note: Check connector - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the resistance of the Hazard Switch circuit between the BCM
harness connector and the Console Switch Group harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes >> Go to 2
No >> Repair the Hazard Switch circuit for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST.
