syslog_facility

This Model 5390 parameter defines the local facility to which the UNIX syslogd daemon sends
Model 5390 syslog messages. Valid options are log_local0 through log_local7. The default is
log_local7.
If the host to which messages are logged does not support 4.3BSD logging, this parameter is ignored
and messages are logged by priority level (defined by syslog_mask).

syslog_host

This Model 5390 parameter defines the IP address of the host that logs Model 5390 messages. The
default, 0.0.0.0, causes the Model 5390 server to broadcast its log messages.

syslog_mask

This Model 5390 parameter defines the priority levels that the Model 5390 server logs. The options
are all, none, or a combination of levels separated by commas. The default, none, disables logging.
Table C2-19 lists the levels in priority order (see Event Logging Using syslog on page B1-26 for
more details on using syslog for event logging).
