Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.

This test resets the HVAC control module and checks for current air temperature actuator DTC.

The specified values are from the A/C System Performance Test.

DEFINITION: The auxiliary air temperature cannot be adjusted from one or both auxiliary controls, or the auxiliary
heating is insufficient.
Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check -
Vehicle?

The auxiliary HVAC control module cannot request A/C
compressor operation. An A/C request must be
generated by the HVAC control module to provide

cooled airflow through the auxiliary system.
Does the HVAC control module operate and provide
sufficient heating?
1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Observe the current DTC list in HVAC Module using

the scan tool.
Does the scan tool display DTC B0433?
Place the auxiliary blower motor switch in each speed
position.

Does the auxiliary blower motor operate in each speed
position?
Does the auxiliary blower motor operate at the desired
5 speeds?
Does the Too Cold In Vehicle concern occur when A/C
6
is desired?
Perform the A/C system performance test. Refer to "Air
Conditioning (A/C) System Performance Test (w/ C69)"
7 "Air Conditioning (A/C) System Performance Test (w/o
C69)".
Did you find and correct the condition?
1. Observe the Rear Temp Dr. Actual parameter in the
Door Positions.
2. Place the air temperature switch of the front HVAC
control module from the coldest to the warmest

position.
Does the scan tool indicate that the value of the Rear
Temp Dr. Actual parameter changes from the minimum
specified value to the maximum specified value?
