3. Remove the output gear assembly (12) from the

transmission case assembly.

Do not disassemble the output drive gear.

4. Clean the output gear in solvent and air dry. Ensure

the solvent is removed from the bearing.

5. Inspect the bearings feel for roughness or noise.

6. Inspect the gear teeth for:

– Excessive wear

– Chips or broken teeth

– Metal embedded in the teeth

7. Replace the output drive gear as an assembly if any

of the above conditions are found.

J 45201 Cooler Line Seal Remover

1. Insert the collet (2) of the J 45201 completely into the

fluid cooler pipe fitting seal (87).

2. Insert the forcing screw (1) of the J 45201 into the

3. Tighten the forcing screw (1) until snug.

4. Thread the collar (1) of the J 45201 onto the collet

(3) until snug.
