Transmission Rear Mount Bracket
Replacement (FWD)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove both catalytic converters. Refer to "Catalytic
Converter Replacement - Right Side: " and "Catalytic
Converter Replacement - Left Side: ".
2. Remove the rear transaxle mount. Refer to
"Transmission Rear Mount Replacement (Getrag
760 Transfer Case)".
3. Remove the transaxle mount bracket bolts (1, 3).
4. Remove the transaxle mount bracket (2).
Installation Procedure
1. Position the transaxle mount bracket (2) to the
transaxle.
CAUTION
!
Refer to "Fastener Notice: " in Cautions and
Notices.
Automatic Transmission:
2. Install the transaxle mount bracket bolts (3).
Tightening torque
Tighten the bolts to 55 N⋅m (41 lb ft).
CAUTION

Refer to "Fastener Notice: " in Cautions and
Notices.
3. Install the transaxle mount bracket bolt (1).
Tightening torque
Tighten the bolts to 37 N⋅m (27 lb ft).
4. Install the rear transaxle mount. Refer to
"Transmission Rear Mount Replacement (Getrag
760 Transfer Case)".
5. Install both catalytic converters. Refer to "Catalytic
Converter Replacement - Right Side: " and "Catalytic
Converter Replacement - Left Side: ".
Transmission Mount Bracket Replacement -
Left Side
Removal Procedure
1. Support the transaxle with a height adjustable
transmission stand.
2. Remove the left engine splash shield. Refer to
"Engine Splash Shield Replacement - Left Side: ".
3. Remove the left transaxle mount. Refer to
"Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side".
4. Lower the transaxle enough to access the mount
bracket bolts.
5. Remove the transaxle mount to frame bolts (1).
6. Remove the transaxle mount bracket (2).
