5A-212 Automatic Transmission:
CAUTION
!
Refer to "Fastener Notice: ".
1. Install the front transaxle mount (2) and transaxle
bolts (1).
Tightening torque
Tighten the bolts to 90 N⋅m (66 lb ft).
2. Hand tighten the front transaxle mount thru bolt.
NOTE
The front and rear transmission mounts must
be allowed to settle with the thru bolts
loosened.
3. Loosen the rear trans mount thru bolt.
4. Tighten the transmission mount thru bolts in the
following order.
Tightening torque
1. Tighten the rear bolt to 100 N⋅m (74 lb ft).
2. Tighten the front bolt to 100 N⋅m (74 lb ft).
5. Lower the vehicle.
Transmission Rear Mount Replacement
(Getrag 760 Transfer Case)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to "Lifting and
Jacking the Vehicle: " in General Information.
2. Disconnect the stabilizer links from the stabilizer
shaft.
3. Swing the stabilizer shaft upwards in order to gain
additional clearance.
4. Remove the transmission mount-to-bracket through
bolt (2).
5. Remove the transmission mount-to-frame bolts (3).
6. Remove the transmission mount (1) from the
vehicle. Position mount between the transaxle and
power steering rack in order to remove mount
through the left wheel opening.
