• The document s loaded ncorrectly.
Set the document facng up on the ADF or facng down on the document
glass.*
• The toner cartrdge may be defectve.
Remove the toner cartrdge and check t for damage.
If the problem perssts, replace the toner cartrdge.
• The drum charge wre may be drty.
Open the front cover. To clean the drum charge wre, pull the blue rod toward
you, makng sure t fully extends. Then return the rod to ts orgnal poston.

Select a darker contrast settng.

Replace the toner cartrdge.

Replace the paper.

• The document glass or ADF glass s drty.
Wpe the glass wth a dry soft cloth.
• The drum charge wre may be drty.

• The paper you are usng may have absorbed mosture, perhaps due ether to
hgh humdty or water havng been splled on the paper supply. Toner wll
not adhere well to wet paper.
Replace the paper wth dry paper.
