Transporting the machine

• Two or more people should carry the machne. Before transportng the machne,
be sure to check that you dsconnect the plug from the outlet and remove the lne
cable. Otherwse, the damaged cable can cause fire, electrcal shock or malfunc-
ton.
• Before transportng the machne, remove the toner cartrdge (or toner bottle).
• When lftng the machne, be sure to grab the handles on the left and rght
sdes of the cassette tray.
• If you nstall the machne on a cabnet, secure the machne wth stoppers to pre-
vent t from movng. Otherwse, the machne may move n an unexpected drec-
ton, potentally causng njury.
• If you need to transport the machne over a long dstance, consult your Océ
dealer.

Consumables

• Do not burn toner cartrdges. Exposure to an open flame can cause the toner
cartrdge to burn or explode, causng serous njury.
• Please dspose of used toner and drum cartrdges n accordance wth local regula-
tons.
• Keep toner and other consumables out of the reach of small chldren. If a chld
should ngest toner, consult a physcan mmedately.
IMPORTANT
• Do not store the toner cartrdge (or toner bottle), drum cartrdge (or drum unt) or
paper n any of the followng places:
– Places exposed to fire
– Places exposed to drect sunlght
– Places subject to hgh temperature and/or hgh humdty
– Places subject to rapd temperature changes
– Dusty areas
– Insde a car, left for a long tme
• Do not drectly touch the photoreceptor surface of the drum cartrdge (or drum
unt), or expose t to drect sunlght. Ths could cause a reducton n prnt qualty.
• To prevent cakng n the toner, never stand the cartrdge on ts end and do not
store t up sde down.
• Never attempt to dsassemble a toner cartrdge or attempt to refill t.
• Do not remove the cartrdge from ts protectve bag untl you are ready to nstall
t.
• Handle cartrdges wth care. Do not subject t to shock or vbratons.
