Routine Maintenance

• Do not burn toner cartrdges. Exposure to an open flame can cause the toner
cartrdge to burn or explode, causng serous njury.
• The fuser unt and the area around t nsde the machne are extremely hot when
operatng. When you clear a paper jam or nspect nsde, be careful not to touch
around the fuser unt. It may cause burns.
• When you clear a paper jam or replace the toner cartrdge (or toner bottle), be
careful not to get the toner powder nto your eyes or mouth. If the toner gets n
your eyes or mouth, mmedately flush wth cold water and consult a physcan.
• Be careful not to stan your hands or clothes wth the toner. If your hands or
clothes get staned, wash them mmedately wth cold water. The stans may
become permanent f washed usng warm water.
• Do not attempt machne operatons that are not descrbed n ths manual.
Ventilation
• Always operate the product n well ventlated areas.
Operatng the product n poorly ventlated areas for an extended tme perod
could pose health rsks. Be sure to frequently ventlate the operatng area.
• Do not let any object obstruct or plug the ventlaton holes of ths product. Accu-
mulated heat nsde the product could result n a malfuncton.
