Real-time transmission (non-memory transmission)
Your machne wll dal the remote fax machne and once contact s made, scannng
and transmttng wll proceed n real-tme.
NOTE
• When the archve settng s actvated, real-tme transmsson cannot be used.
(For detals of the archve settng, see Chapter 4, "Usng the Admn Tools," n the
PC User's Guide)
• The document glass cannot be used for manual transmssons.
• When you want to talk to the other party before transmttng the document, con-
nect a phone to ths machne.
• Wth real-tme transmsson, you can dal only one destnaton. When you select
multple destnatons, real-tme transmsson wll be dsabled.
• In super-fine mode, the document length s avalable up to 14 nch (356 mm).
To perform a real-tme transmsson:

Set the document n the ADF.

Press <FAX> to dsplay the Fax standby mode.

Adjust the scannng resoluton and contrast, f necessary. (See page 4-17.)

Press [Others], [Next].

Press [Memory Tx] to turn the memory transmsson OFF, and then press
[Enter].

Specfy the destnaton.
• Use the numerc keys to dal the number.
– or –
• Specfy the destnaton usng the address book. (See page 3-13.)
– or –
• Search the destnaton from an LDAP server. (See page 3-17.)

Press <Start>.
• To cancel the transmsson, use Revew commands features, see "Revewng
or cancelng commands" on page 4-26.
NOTE
You can change the default settng for [Memory Tx]. See "Accessng the default fax
settngs" on page 9-6.
