Selecting the reception mode

Press <Settng>, [User Install], [Recepton Mode].

Select your desred recepton mode.
Your machne has five dfferent recepton modes:
• Fax Ready Mode (see "Automatc recepton mode" on next page)
• Tel/Fax Ready Mode (see "Automatc recepton mode" on next page)
• Fax/Tel Ready Mode (see "Automatc recepton mode" on next page)
• Ans/Fax Ready Mode (see "Automatc recepton mode" on next page)
• Tel Ready Mode (see "Manual recepton mode" below)

Press [Enter] to save the settng.

Press <Reset> to ext.

Manual reception mode

Tel Ready Mode

Use it if:
• You want to use the same lne for both fax and phone calls.
• You manly receve phone calls.
In this mode:
Your machne never answers the calls automatcally. You must answer each call
as descrbed n "Answerng calls manually" (page 4-38).
You will need:
• An optonal handset or an external phone connecton.
