Manual transmission
Use manual transmsson when the other fax machne uses manual recepton, or
when you transmt after finshng a phone conversaton.
NOTE
• The document glass cannot be used for the manual transmsson.
• When you want to talk to the other party before transmttng the document, con-
nect a phone to ths machne.

Set the document n the ADF.

Press <FAX> to dsplay the Fax standby mode.
NOTE
When the "User Access/Cost Accountng" or "Network authentcaton" feature s
actvated, perform the logn procedure (see page 1-19).

Press "Fax" tab.

Adjust the scannng resoluton and contrast, f necessary. (See page 4-17.)

Press [Montor].

Lft the handset f you have connected an optonal handset or an external tele-
phone to your machne.
In ether case, the followng dsplay wll appear:

Specfy the destnaton.
• Use the numerc keys to dal the number.
– or –
• Specfy the destnaton usng the address book. (See page 3-13.)
– or –
• Search the destnaton from an LDAP server. (See page 3-17.)
NOTE
• You can dal only one destnaton for manual transmsson.
• Press [Montor] or hang up the handset to cancel the dalng.
