Suggested solutions
Check that the power swtch s turned on.
Check that the power cord s connected properly.
See "Dsplayed error messages," on page 11-15.
• Check for the ADF cover s closed properly.
• If there s a foregn matter n the ADF, remove t.
• Ensure that the document s an acceptable weght. (See "Document," page
1-31.)
• Clean the ADF rollers (see page 11-3.)
• Ensure that the paper s an acceptable weght. (See "Paper," page 1-35)
Suggested solutions
• Check that the phone lne s connected properly.
• Check that the number or the e-mal address stored n your address book s
correct.
• Make sure that the machne s n fax mode. If not, change to the mode to the
fax mode by pressng [FAX].
• Check that the network cable s connected properly.
• Check that the network settng s made up properly.
Your machne cannot cancel a transmsson by pressng [Stop]. To cancel a trans-
msson, press [Fax Cancel/Job Confirm.] and select a job you want to cancel,
then press [Enter]. (See "Revewng or cancelng commands" on page 4-26 for
more detals.)

• The memory may be full. If there s no paper n the cassette, set a paper to
prnt the receved document stored n the memory.
• Make sure that the external phone s attached to your machne to receve a
fax manually.

phone.
