Loading documents in the ADF

Place the document face up, and lghtly nsert the document untl the docu-
ment edge stops on the ADF.

Adjust the document gudes to the document wdth.
Precautions when loading documents on the ADF

• Be sure any correcton flud, nk, or stamps on the document are completely dry
before loadng.
• Remove all metals (staples, paper clps, etc.) before loadng the documents.
 Falure to do so may cause a malfuncton.
• Do not load the document wth the document gude extended.
 The document may be reduced and prnted.
 Dong so may result n skewed feedng.
• Do not add or remove the documents whle they are beng scanned
 A document jam may occur.
• Do not leave too many scanned documents on the document outlet.
 A document jam around the outlet may occur.
• When scannng s complete, remove the documents from the document ext tray to
avod document jams.
