Before turnng on the power, be sure to check that the power plug s securely

nserted nto the outlet. Then press the "|" (ON) power swtch on the left sde of the

machne. To turn off the power, press the "" (OFF) power swtch.

• Do not nsert or remove the power plug, or touch the power swtch wth wet

hands. Dong so could result n electrc shock.

• When you turn off the power once and wsh to turn t on agan, wat for 3 seconds

or more before dong so.

• Normally leave the power swtch ON. If you turn off the power, you cannot trans-

mt or receve faxes.

• When you do not plan on usng the machne for a long perod of tme or wsh to

move t, turn OFF the power and remove the power plug from the outlet.
